Subject: FDIC wanted to clean this up quietly; In Your Corner TV Backed Out From: nite@prowlingowl.com Date: 6/27/2010 4:56 PM To: Bradley.Thompson@ic.fbi.gov Brad, The 4th is always a get to gather with a group of family and friends in my hometown, of Seminole, where they had a lot of tornado damage when so many tornadoes hit last month. A hard luck story is another family of friends had a successful construction and commercial roofing business located next to the Seminole airport The tornado tore up their business. The same tornado or cluster, kept tracking NE and approx 7 miles from the business, hit and tore up of 3 of the 6 families homes that were all located within a two mile radius. I came across something I have been working on that has a hole and thought I might try contacting Jana Turner or Christy Argo again, to ask a couple of non threatening questions. Still no answer at Christy's. Jana's husband answered. He didn't recognize who I was, and she didn't either, by name. They were both pleasant. She said she would rather not get involved or have her name mentioned. She actually sounded like she thought she was out of the picture, now. I told her I had not heard any one say she was guilty of anything, but did mentioned that there was a good chance someone would want to talk to her eventually. Of course I guaranteed her confidentiality and mentioned if it would make her more comfortable I could find someone for her to talk to that she might have more confidence in keeping her name out. She has has her own CPA business now, and is naturally worried about having her name out there connected to anything bad. That is the way that whole area is. My general feeling is she would talk if properly nudged. Probably something as simple as you guaranteeing her complete confidentiality. You might have to give her something in writing, but you would certainly provide her much more comfort than myself. I left my number in case she changes her mind, but I think it will take a little push. You are probably aware of this, but considering the fact that nothing has came out of any of this, since QMA closed more than 18 months ago, there is a growing sense nothing is going to happen. And, they can just ride this out. I am starting to share that very feeling. The total lack of new interest over any of this, other than to give a couple of state officials a platform to minimize anything occurred other than some bad business decisions that got caught up in a bad economy. Someone is keeping a lid on this. The fact there has been no visible movement anyplace. Most noticeable, when you consider that QMA failed to send in payroll withholdings. Something that was known immediately. Channel 4 in OKC was doing an in your corner piece on this, met with a group of former QMA employees, yet never carried the story. Claiming they couldn't arrange a interview with Mark Aceiro. That is lame. Failing to send in withholding, is something there isn't much, if any wiggle room. I have seen that occur before and action came swift. The assets of those involved were frozen. According to those I hear from nothing has occurred. Doughty sold his house without any hitch, and I understood Mark Aceiro's house was on the market after that with no disclosure of anything of that nature. Word came from an inside source in a position to hear this -- the FDIC wanted to clean this up quietly as soon as possible, in hopes of keeping off the radar. Their image had been taken a beating and they wanted no more bleeding. That happens quiet often, for the wrong reasons. Image wins over justice, virtually every time; and is why the public has little or no confidence in government motives. I have similar concerns about tax credits. While the other issues involved crimes that occurred and definitely need justice, tax credits are a crime in progress and there should be an added urgency to at a minimum stop the crime before more money is stolen. I think I have mentioned before this is not moving in the way something of this nature should be. If it is moving at all. I remember all you have said about this. That doesn't answer all the questions hanging out there with lose ends. Nick On 6/27/2010 2:11 PM, Bradley.Thompson@ic.fbi.gov wrote: > Maybe we can talk about this early this next week.
